WelcomeAt CUNY, the nation’s largest urban university, there are opportunities to participate in high caliber research projects for students from the high school level, through 2-year and 4-year undergraduate studies, to graduate and doctoral programs. The New York City Science and Engineering Fair (NYCSEF) under the direction of the office of CUNY College Now is the largest high school research competition in NYC, sponsored by the New York City Department of Education and the City University of New York. Each year, hundreds of students participate from all over the five boroughs, with the top 15 to 20 projects selected to represent NYC at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). During the past two years, NYC high school students have been selected to participate in an 8-week summer research internship program under the guidance of CUNY research faculty. The CUNY Graduate Center offers doctoral research in 34 programs. The Doctoral Student Research Grant Program fosters a research-oriented academic culture among CUNY’s Ph.D. students and encourages interdisciplinary discourse at Grad Center. The Grove School of Engineering at the City College of New York offers 9 nationally recognized programs awarding a full complement of degrees – BE, ME, and PhD. |
