The purpose of the Collaborative Incentive Research Grants Program is
to enhance, through multi-campus collaborations, the prestige and
prominence of the University to a national and international audience.
The purpose of this Program is to support the research efforts of
faculty, especially junior faculty, at the Community Colleges, and to
encourage collaborations with faculty within and across the CUNY
campuses.
The Office of Academic Affairs has limited funds that can be made available to assist with travel for specific occasions.
CUNY faculty who run externally funded research programs and who run into a funding crisis due to a competitive renewal of their grant not being funded may apply for bridge funds under specific circumstances.
This initiative is periodically run to help investigators purchase laboratory equipment that will strengthen their research program, and thus assist them in applications for external research funding in the near future.
The programs listed above are all run through the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research. Additional internal funding opportunities for CUNY faculty may be found on the website of the CUNY Research Foundation (PSC-CUNY grant program) and campus-specific programs may be listed on individual CUNY College websites.
