The University recently introduced an on-line application system (CUNYfirst). During the transition, vacancies for both faculty and staff positions are posted on two sites. Note that these job sites list different job positions.

To be considered for a job posting, you must apply to the designated college representative in the manner indicated on the job posting before the closing date. Listings of additional local and college related jobs are available through each college Human Resource office, and General Employment Information is also available.


Classified Civil Service

Civil Service examinations are intended to ensure fairness and equal opportunity for gaining employment at CUNY. In addition, positions in competitive class titles can only be filled through the use of eligibility lists, which are generated as a result of an unbiased examination of all applicants. >>
