Academic Technology AT CUNY

The City University of New York is engaged in several major University-wide academic technology initiatives. They all are collaborations across campuses using the latest means and tools to improve instruction and access. >>


Black Male Initiative

An important new initiative intended to increase, encourage, and support the inclusion and educational success of under-represented groups in higher education, in particular black males. All programs and activities of the Black Male Initiative are open to all academically eligible students, faculty and staff, without regard to race, gender, national origin, or other characteristic. >>



Latino Faculty Initiative

Established in Fall 2006, the Latino Faculty Initiative seeks to link qualified Latino(a) candidates to faculty positions within CUNY. To this end, the initiative will engage in outreach and recruitment, and work with CUNY colleges to advance their faculty’s diversity. >>



Math Matters at CUNY

Incorporating contributions from departments across the University, the Central Office, and external partners, CUNY promotes excellence and achievement in the teaching and learning of mathematics. >>



The New CUNY Community College Initiative

In February 2008, Chancellor Matthew Goldstein asked Senior University Dean for Academic Affairs John Mogulescu to begin a process that that would lead to the opening of a new CUNY community college. >>



School of Public Health

The CUNY School of Public Health at Hunter College works with communities, nonprofits, private groups and government agencies to help people live healthier lives. It conducts research and creates new models of public health education and practice to solve urban health problems. New SPH Website >>
